Birthing Suites
Our birthing suites provide a warm, comfortable atmosphere for welcoming your new baby. Special attention has been placed on creating a soothing, healing setting with warm decor and natural ambience. Each room features state-of-the-art equipment and safety technology for the entire birth process, recovery period and postpartum stay. The BirthCare Center also offers a complimentary celebratory meal for two to welcome your newborn. Photo packages are available to help share your little on's arrival with family and friends.

Newborn portrait photographers help capture babies’ first moments, taken in the intimate environment of mom’s private labor and delivery suite. Photos are securely posted to the baby’s own web page where it can be shared with family and friends. Another unique feature of a 5-star birthing experience at our BirthCare Center is the beloved tradition of playing Brahms Lullaby throughout Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center to announce the birth of each new baby! New moms also get to enjoy a celebratory meal for two in the comfort of their private room.
Newborn Care
Some newborns need a little more time and special attention after their delivery. Our board certified neonatologist provides exceptional care and development for these infants. Each room is equipped to handle unexpected emergencies, but if special medical needs arise, your baby may be transferred to our nursery, which is equipped for critical care and stabilization.
A highly trained and specialized Registered Nurse (RN) cares for you and your baby throughout the postpartum stay, while our Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) provides patient care in our facility.
Family visitation
The Birth Care Center and Mother Baby Unit welcomes families and friends to visit and will not restrict, limit or otherwise deny visitation privileges on the basis of race, color, relationship, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability.
1. All visitors shall be properly attired with shirt and shoes as per public health codes.
2. All visitors shall check with the BCC desk prior to entering BCC to obtain patient area location, room number and validate number of visitors per room.
3. All visitors shall be required to sanitize hands with furnished hand sanitizers.
4. Visitors should be free from infectious/communicable disease and not experiencing symptoms such as but not limited to: cough, cold, fever, rash, nausea/vomiting, or diarrhea.
5. All visitors shall sign in and out on the visitor roster and be issued a visitor, or sibling, badge to be worn during the entire visitation in the BCC and the MBU.
6. Visitation may be limited based on the patient’s clinical condition.
7. Visitors are to remain in the room of the patient while visiting, not in the halls or desk area to ensure confidentiality of all patients.
