The Peninsula Rehabilitation Center (PRC) specializes in the medical treatment and rehabilitation for people who have experienced a stroke, multiple trauma injuries, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, neurological disorders, spinal cord injuries and for those recovering from orthopedic surgery.
Accreditation
PRC at our Oceanside campus is a specialized rehabilitation hospital fully accredited by The Joint Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Our specialized training has enabled our staff to develop higher levels of expertise and achieve better results for our patients so they may achieve their highest level of functional independence.
The Rehabilitation Process
Rehabilitation is defined as the process of restoring an individual to a useful life through education and therapy. At PRC, we know it means a lot more. We know that rehab is a challenge: a challenge to the patient, loved ones, and families. Rehab is a challenge that encompasses the physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual aspects of each patient. It is a challenge to live life with the highest possible level of independence, productivity and potential. We assist our patients in attaining their highest level of functional independence, using all available resources. This is no small task and requires a team of uniquely qualified rehabilitation specialists.
