Lactation Counselor

Breastfeeding is one of the most precious gifts a mother and baby can give to each other. The American Academy of Pediatrics recognizes breastfeeding as the best method of feeding and nurturing infants. At the BirthCare Center, our certified lactation counselors assist mothers and babies in learning the art of breastfeeding.

Additionally, all of our nurses have received training in breastfeeding and are able to provide individualized care to mother and baby. If you are thinking of breastfeeding your infant, ask your caregiver for assistance so we can best meet your needs.
