UnitedHealthcare and Florida Hospital System sign new agreements, extending relationshio
ORLANDO, Fla. (September 15, 2010) — UnitedHealthcare and Florida Hospital System have signed new agreements on the hospital and physician contracts, effective immediately, continuing uninterrupted access to the hospital systems’ facilities and physicians for UnitedHealthcare members.
The new agreement extends coverage for UnitedHealthcare commercial customers, Medicare customers, including AARP Medicare Complete, Secure Horizons and Evercare by UnitedHealthcare, as well as Medicaid customers, including the Florida Healthy Kids program. Florida Hospital is part of the Adventist Health System and operates 18 hospitals, 18 ancillary centers, including its Centra Care clinics, and 10 medical groups representing more than 400 physicians.
