Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center welcomes Volusia County's first natural-birth baby in 2011
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Flagler Beach residents Lisa and Patrick O’Grady have an extra special reason to celebrate the New Year – a newborn son. In fact, their baby has the special designation of being the first natural-birth baby born in Volusia County in 2011.

Just after noon, Lisa, 31, gave birth to Patrick John O’Grady at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center's BirthCare Center in Daytona Beach. At 21 ¾ inches long and weighing eight pounds, three ounces, baby Patrick was welcomed into the world at 12:20 p.m.

Lisa and her husband, also named Patrick, took special care when naming their newborn son. Baby Patrick will go by his middle name, which is in honor of his father’s brother, John, who tragically died in an accident.

This is the second child for the couple, who also have a daughter, Savannah, 5.
