Florida Hospital Imaging Earns ACR Breast MRI Accreditation
Florida Hospital Imaging has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). With this accreditation, Florida Hospital Imaging is now the only facility in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia to earn this prestigious award.

The ACR Gold Standard of Accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety.

“The American College of Radiology Breast MRI Accreditation is the latest proof that our Women’s Imaging Services and ACR Certified Breast Imaging Center of Excellence meet the highest possible standards for patient care,” said Florida Hospital Imaging Executive Director Cindy Winter, PhD.

By earning the ACR’s Gold Standard of Accreditation, Florida Hospital Imaging has demonstrated that they voluntarily underwent a vigorous review process to ensure that they meet nationally-accepted standards of care; their personnel are well-qualified to perform medical imaging, interpret images, and administer radiation therapy treatments; and the facility meets or exceeds quality assurance and safety guidelines. Every aspect of this accreditation process is overseen by board-certified, expert radiologists and medical physicists in advanced diagnostic imaging.
