The Central Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® has awarded a $25,000 grant to Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center Imaging to provide women in need with screening mammograms and diagnostic services.
At Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center Imaging, the

grant from Komen for the Cure will support the Think Pink Project, an initiative to create greater awareness about the life-saving benefits of annual mammograms and early detection. The program will encompass educational materials and resources, digital screening mammograms and diagnostic services.
“Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center Imaging is proud to receive this grant to help needy Daytona area women. In these challenging economic times, this grant will help us screen and diagnose more women, who might otherwise not get the care they need,” said Carol Rumer, Florida Hospital Imaging Operations Manager. “As the Daytona area’s only American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, designed and operated by women, we are passionate about women’s breast health. This grant will help us serve even more women than ever before.”
