FHMMC Celebrates Ribbon Cutting for New Port Orange Facility

On Thursday, November 3, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the hospital’s new 5,800 square-foot facility, located in the northeast corner of the Port Orange Pavilion, between Belk and Hollywood Theatres, across from Coldstone Creamery.

This $750,000 facility is home to a variety of services, such as imaging, lab, rehabilitation and sports medicine, and family practice physician offices.

In addition, eight pediatric physician specialties from Florida Hospital for Children will also share space at the facility eliminating the need for local families to travel to Orlando for specialized pediatric care.

In addition, long-time Volusia County family practice physician, Johnna Mantineo, DO, has relocated her Daytona Beach office to the new Port Orange location and is accepting new patients. Mantineo is one of several physicians within HealthCare Partners, the multi-specialty physician group employed by Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center.

“We examined the demographics and the need and noticed that there weren’t any resources for family practice in this area,” said Mark E. LaRose, President and Chief Executive Officer at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center. “Port Orange is a very important city here in east Volusia County that we believe is underserved. We want to be a part of the fabric of the community and aim to provide the services that people need, at the time they need them.”

To accommodate working families, the clinic offers extended hours: Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays.
