DAYTONA BEACH – On December 20, the Daytona Beach Fire Department and Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center helped distribute toys to local families in need, just in time for Christmas.
Approximately 1,000 toys, including dolls, toy cars, basketballs, footballs, board games, stuffed animals and books were donated and distributed to The STAR Family Center, The Domestic Abuse Council, Inc., and The Children Advocacy Center of Volusia and Flagler Counties, Inc.
Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center is part of the Florida Hospital Volusia/Flagler nonprofit hospital system with a Christian mission of hope, health and healing. In 2010, Florida Hospital Volusia/Flagler collectively contributed more than $107 million in benefits to the underprivileged, the community’s overall health and wellness and spiritual needs, and capital improvements.
