Auxiliary

The volunteers of Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center and Florida Hospital Oceanside come from all walks of life. They are former professionals, school teachers, secretaries, homemakers, business executives and accountants. In its history, the auxiliary has provided over two million hours of volunteer support and raised almost $4 million to benefit the hospital and community in which we live.

Start the process for  becoming a member of the Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center Auxiliary today by calling the office at 386-231-3030 for more information and an interview appointment.

The Auxiliary’s Purpose

Auxilians share the common goal of providing caring aid and comfort to patients and families as well as assistance to staff that care for patients. The stated purpose of the Auxiliary is three-fold:

  1. to provide compassionate service to patients, hospital staff and the community
  2. to serve as goodwill ambassadors for the hospital
  3. to fulfill fundraising pledges to the hospital for equipment purchases, education, services and building projects

The current multi-year pledge provided the GetWell Network, an interactive television system for patients. It offers internet access, movies and services to patients from each hospital room.
